Headset
I got a headset specificly for PR, so I could use VOIP. However something about it annoys me, I hear through it exclusivly. All the normal sounds are played through the headset. However it's almost impossible for me to find a good balance between VOIP voice volume, and the volume of everything else in the battlefield. The only way I can hear others on VOIP is to have my headset maxed, which kills my ears as everything else is super loud. Is it possible to play everything through my speakers, except VOIP voices?

Re: Headset
I had that when i first started, if you go: C/Program files/EA GAMES/ BF2
In the folder should be a headset icon with "BF2 Voice Setup" and make sure the capture threshold is low as possible also in game, go to options, audio, and make sure on the right hand side that transmit and recieve all max and turn on mic boost if possible the main way is to lower the game effects and music sliders, so the VOIP takes precedence whilst still being able to enjoy the game |

Re: Headset
I've tried that, but because of the headset I have it just can't be balanced, the background sound is allways either too loud, or too quiet. Also I can't use boost mic gain, as it makes me waaaay too loud to others. And, what's threshhold even do? Mine is set on 5

Re: Headset
Have you muted the mic volume in your soundcard settings? Check the box so it's turned off.

Re: Headset
Um.... wouldn't that mute like, ALL sound going into my headset? I still wanna hear people talking through my headset, just I want everything else like gunshots, footsteps, explosions, to be from my speakers. Since whenever the two come from the same source, it's hard to hear people. :/
