Crash to desktop, no error message

For some reason whenever i try to change my sound settings or connect to a server i crash to desktop without any error message. Ive tried the + fullscreen 0 and still no message.

I have updated to 1.41 and i installed the core client and the levels.

Any help is appreciated

Re: Crash to desktop, no error message

its not "+ fullscreen 0" but "+fullscreen 0"
bf2/pr should start in windowed mode then

does regular bf2 work correctly?

(requesting to move this thread to help and hardware) since it doesn't really seem to be a bug

Got a PROBLEM? Check this: Project Reality Detailed Installation Guide

Youre right, ignore the space i made in my previous post. I did run it in a window i just typed it up incorrectly.

Yeah and it does look like it happens in bf2 also, i hadnt tried it until just now.

Re: Crash to desktop, no error message

if your not too attached to your battlefield installation i'd suggest reinstalling (and redownloading pr mod files too [incase of corrupted files])
would probably be faster, untill we find a decent answer

however plz state your specs (ie Vista, RAM, etc) so we can exsamining the cause

Re: Crash to desktop, no error message

Fixed the problem it was related to a program called tunebite that adds virtual audio drivers to your system.
