I wouldn't buy into the SLI hype, unless you have an SLI video card or seen the improvements (if any) firsthand.

Another computer in my house doesn't have SLI, and all 4 sticks of 1gb RAM run perfectly fine.

"SLI Ready" ram??? wth?
unless it extends the gfx card's ram...

never head of that but i can tell u something i learned about "xyz Ready": "Vista Ready" my laptop which has 1GB ram is supposed to be able to run vista - yeah sure, especially since ATI hasn't even managed to develop vista drivers for my crapy onboard card (256mb ram) yet
"HD Ready" the new tv can use the hdmi signal but since the display is worth its money i bought it for i still got antanna quality

i think it is just to confuse customers with this "blabla ready" - bs

my .02€

It is just marketing trash talk, but means it has been looked at by Nvidia and works on their systems, or that is how it is supposed to go.
Better to read real reviews than worry about branding, but I remember reading some reviews on memory with SLI on the lable. Just google for it and it will tell you.

By the way, before you drop a load on the 2 8800GTX, you know the 9800GTX will be out by the end of the month right? Might want to see what they can do 1st.

Nope.
They talked about them at the CeBit show this past week.
The new X2 will be out March 15th, but is going to be really expensive and HOT running.
