BF2 Crash on loadup after new screen.

Hey,

I just bought and installed my new 19'' Targa Visionary flat screen.
It's on 1440x900 and 75hz refresh.
When i try to start up bf2 it loads up splash screen, then i get a black screen and it crashes to desktop.

Help anyone?

my computer also crashes down to desktop, but not sure its the same reason. the game just randomly crash after playing for a while..I dont know too much about computers but maybe it has with my computer running on vista to do or something? cant have anything to do with the screen can it?

Make sure your desktop shortcut is right.

you should empty the bf2 cache to force bf2 to update the gfx customization it automatically does (alternatvely you can just switch the ingame gfx to something else and back, create a new account or delete the existing one from the profile folder, when u cant even get into the game (also delete the default folder), or reinstall bf2) - bf2 will take longer on the next map-loading screen

The above and edit your shortcut parameters to this:

"X:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +widescreen 1 +szx 1440 +szy 900 and you should be fine.

Or wherever you installed PR just put +widescreen 1 +szx 1440 +szy 900 and you should be fine

And btw now you have widescreen use WidescreenFixer to fix your screen.

I recommended 1.32 thats the same as i use. To activate it ingame press the ; button.
