PR in Widescreen
Hey Guys,
I am temporarily stuck with a Widescreen monitor while my 4:3 goes in for warranty repair. While I wait, I would like to play PR. Can anyone tell me what the most popular solution for BF2 widescreen gaming is? I tried searching the forums but nothing came up. If I just missed the post, could someone please link it here and close the thread. thanks, DD |

screw the fixer, it's useless. Just force the res from the Desktop shortcut. Google it!

I just force the res in my shortcut. Works great.

I remember reading something in I think it was a pc gamer that there is a file that you can go "magical notepad" on and get it to widescreen res. When I get home I will look for that issue of the mag.

ok here is how it works. change res in shortcut and then run widescreen fixer and it actualu adjust your field of view to a widescreen one rather than just a slightly distored regular fov. Works amazing if you change the update rate to 1ms

Amen. Adding +szx (resolution here) +szy (resolution here) to the shortcut under Properties and running the Widescreen Fixer whilst playing reduces the stretching.
