I had to turn the dynamic shadows and lighting down for that damn "Fools Road" map.
I had 2 x 512k mem sticks that were generic and 2 days ago i put in 2 x 512mb kingstom gaming memory with my already 2gb ocz gaming mem. Giving me true 3 gigs of GAMING memory now. BIG difference. The generic memory was slowing down my other sweet memory. I think im gonna put everything back up to the frickin' highest like before I played fools rood since it seems to be perfect for now, I just have to try fools road. Zero lag on the other maps except when i spawn in the first time after loading each map. And vista ultimate is so visual and graphic my computer has no problem switching between like 10 app. with the fades and effects, it's sweet. I like the Vista Ultimate for work and school only. My XP pro o.s. starts up in like 10 sec. after I select my user with this setup. Oh yeah, had to put in a 500W power supply. I just leave the side off when I play PR and use a long window fan and my card stays at 53C. in 3D mode. 39C in 2D mode. I'm pleased. |
