Qinling sound issue

Hi, Iīm new in here.

Please excuse my basic english, itīs not my native language. I donīt know if itīs a PR bug or itīs related to my rig.

Issue: Cracking sound, like tuning an AM radio, only and exclusively in Qinling, independently of the size of the map, in local server and external servers.

Steps who didnīt solve the issue: reinstalling my original download; downloading the torrent and reinstalling to avoid a corrupt first download; updating the openal dll.

Specs: e6600, p965, 4 gigs ram, 8800gts, xfi extreme music maxed out with eax for gaming and integrated sound for TS, messenger, etc.. Vista 64.

Bf2 runs smoothly except the occasional CTD. Iīm short of ideas, any suggestion?

Thanks

Yes, it solves the problem but with a big tradeout, sound quality.

Itīs a pity, this mod is enjoyable for me because of the HUGE difference with the original bf2 sounds. Far better I mean.

Nevertheless I guess itīs a sound bug related to my particular model of Xfi, a friend of mine with a similar setup and an Xfi platinum doesnīt have any problem.

Thanks for the input.

I have a computer close to yours, with the sound card, and don't have crackling on Qinling. I do however have a constant waterfall sound all over most of the map, even when I am up in the mountains nowhere near water. It is very sound buggy map.

I'm getting tired of these constant problems with X-Fi. My mic keeps cutting out and after a while all my sounds go messy. Guess I just have to accept that I can't play PR with Ultra High.
