PB, MD5 and image-files
OK.
Punkbuster kicks me for md5 tool mismatch. I had this problem with the Helix-server ever after a punkbuster-update during late .4 i think, and with Thors B ever since .7. Back then it was [insert vanilla map] causing the problem. This time around it is init.con. I tried replacing the file, without luck. Today i also got the boot for mismatch to that newest vMap, jalala-something. I am pretty convinced this happens becouse i install the game of a BF2-image. I lost my disc a long time ago, but i use my personal serialcode and my SF-disc to play. I think it is really dumb, if this is correct. Utterly fubar. There's no moral or legal conflicts with my actions here. Does anyone have any idea? Or maybe i'm dead wrong, and something else is the problem? And if we have any experts in the house; is it possible to modify the PB-server settings to ignore this, without tampering with any proper cheat-filters. Out of curiosity.. Love bjoffe PS: Here is a link to thread conserning the first incident. At first, everyone was booted off the Helix-server for mismatches. R@ge sorted it out for everyone. Everyone but me... |
