Just started getting back in to this mod with 0.7 and today I seem to be getting

Punkbuster Error Message
Restriction: Service Communication Failure PNKBstrb.exe Initialization failed


Any know how to solve this

I just updated PB to the newest version!

PR lets me on for about 1 min then kicks

You used PBsetup (avalible on evenbalace.com) to update PB for BF2? PnkbstrB.exe is a process that should be running on the processes tab of Task manager.

PB has recently updated and for a number of players auto updating has not been working. go to evenbalance and get the required program and run it, manually updating your PB.

Also,check that your firewall isn't blocking the newly updated file.

I think that must be it as I did the above with the update, it was the first thing I did when i could not get on.....Sory should have said i done the Manual update...

Hey, Im having the same problem right now(and I used the search function...applause any1?)

Getting the exact same error in PR and in BF2(not that id ever play that again)

I DID manually upgrade PB a few times now(just 2b sure).

I DONT have a Firewall(only nnobs have them. I dont have a antivirus for that matter either)

I tried different srvs, always the same prob.

Quick question: Does the PR installer install anything anywhere else except for in the mod folder? I might put in the effort of reinstalling bf2, but i dont feel like downloading all the pr stuff again.

Everything from PR ends up in the mod folder, except of course the shortcuts and the manual.
