FOr some reason when I downloaded the level install it downloaded as a htm file in forefox. I tried to unzip and extract but no luck. What should I do?

Hey there, what's the file size ?

If it's not ~880 MB then re-download. Most likely you've downloaded only the shortcut to the download.

Turn 360 degrees and walk away is what you should do tbh.

It is the ~880 MB file. I had restarted the download, I think that was the problem. I just need to know how to fix it.

i don't really get what your problem is now?

however i suggest redownloading using maybe a download manager like FDM, GetRight or what so ever - it'll let you chose "continue file" if you attempt to overwrite it - thus might not have to totally start over

also after ur finished check the file integrity using sha, md5 or crc

When you start the installer go and have a cup of tea or a pint down the pub.It takes a long time before anything appears to do anything so don't try to rush it.

However, there were some seriously crippled downloads available on release night and it took a couple of days before I could download a decent package.I actually d/l'd 7 or 8 times before I got a good one.

yeah i heard about that - the us server version was broken - your best bet is to use the torrent - or at least use it to "Continue" the broken download - it might fix it
