more information please!
brand, model, revision number, maybe link to the manual (pdf) MORE INFO!!! otherwise - you could borough a router and replace - to make sure it really is the router (if you know your way with the pc you could try to directly connect the pc to the internet [not recommended for security issues]) if all else fails you will prolly need a new router - i just love this one : Link |

I have the same problem; it started with the release of .7 and it seems to get worse the instant I join a voip squad. Turning off Zonealarm (firewall) cleared it up, but I didn't like running without one so...
I read up on similar issues with firewalls and someone suggested adding my own IP to the firewall permissions. No more connection issues. Why this works and why it started with .7 is a mystery. Hope this helps someone. |

I confirmed that it's the router. I'll start looking about, post back here if I find anything.

Alright, the problem appeared to be with my router's "intrusion detection". I guess the increased bandwidth needed by VOIP confused it. Turning it off fixed it.

Try turning mic boosting off from the BF2 settings, I had some issues with it on.

I was getting same exactly the same problem - load up a game with more than 20-30 players, get to the kit select screen and get "problem with your connection" followed by "your connection to the server has been lost". This seemed to be consistent with all largely populated servers.
My router is a US Robotics USR9111 (pretty rubbish IMO), but I was also getting ***UDP Flood to host..... ...so disabled intrusion detection (anti DoS) and this fixed it immediately. I didn't want to have to play PR without VOIP because that's one of the major points of the game. I would suggest that if anyone else has similar problems they try this too... (and thanks for the support guys). |

Re: VoIP causing connection Issues
Bit of a bump but need to say thank you, disabling the anti-dos intrusion setting thing seems to have fixed it for too. However, just a question, will this pose any risks with it disabled or would Windows Firewall be good enough to pick up an actual dos attack?
