I'm running PR just fine on the same quadcore as you are, so that should be cool. The main risk would be the OS, Vista can be a pain in the ***.

Do you have a super handsome mate? (hugs and kisses KP)

I'm having no problems with my Quad either, its looking odds on to be a vista related problem if anything.

I have that same q6600. I even Overclocked it 1 full Ghz (3.4Ghz) and played PR for hours at that speed with out any crashes. (note: You need an aftermarket cooler, the stock fan is garbage, I'd suggest a Tuniq 120)

try running it as an administrator by right click. That should help. Either that or sometimes when i install mods of patches it loads up for about 5 min until it asks you to run the exe. I have a dual core.

Try setting its CPU affinity to 1 or 2 cores in Task Manager.
