high end pc, low max resolution...

Hey guys, I've always wondered what's up with my max resolution in PR. I only get 4 choices in the PR/vBF2 video settings, 800x600@ 60hz, 800x600 @ 75hz, 1024x768 @ 60hz, and 1024x768 @ 75hz. I have everything maxed with 4x anti-aliasing. My PC and monitor are both high end.

My PC has a 8800gts 320mb, 3gb RAM, and dual-core. My monitor is a 37" olevia 1080i. I can obviously support very high resolutions on my monitor and I play many other games at a higher res. Also, my old PC had a radeon x1800, and I'm pretty sure I remember playing on 1280x1024. For the record, I use Ntune to manage my video settings for alot of games, but in PR , I only use it to boost the anisotropic filtering.

So, what's up with my low max resolution, and can I make it higher?

It's a problem with BF2 itself, it allows a very limited amount of resolutions. There's a workaround, but I'm not 100% sure as to how it works, anyone else? You might also be able to find what you need by searching for BF2 and/or PR and widescreen fix.

I think I'm able to get up to 14xx by 12xx, but it leaves about a 1/8 inch of blac at the bottom on my screen. I'll look at it when I get home

set it in your PR short cut.
Here's what mine looks like:
"E:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" start /AFFINITY 2 +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +widescreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050
