Help,
I have uninstalled and reinstalled yet I still receive the same error below with PR.

bf2.exe does not exist. Please check your working directory!: The system cannot find the file specified.

Below is a screen dump of the PR Properties. All looks good to me With no reference to BF2.exe.

Target = "D:\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1

Start in = "d:\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2"

Please help if anyone can I have tried everything?

since u already tried to reinstall ! , remove battlefield2 from ur computer and restart , when done make a registry scan to delete all previous unused registry files from ur system , u can use Ccleaner for that .. after ur done with the registry scan restart and install battlefield 2 , apply the 1.41 patch and see if it works now .

Glad we could help! Welcome to PR.
Remember PR is all about teamwork.
Always join a squad if you can.
Please read the guide,
it is LOADED with info you need to learn to stay alive.

Always ask your squad leader what he needs and what you can do to help.
Stay within 20 to 40 meters of your squad leader unless he tells you different.
If you have questions ask for help but don't do it in the middle of a firefight.
Use voip but you will need to learn to say allot of important info with very few words.
Example instead of: "Hey I just saw a bad guy over on the right side of the hill with bushes on it."
Make it: "Contact infantry 285 @ 100 meters moving North!
As a squad member you are the eyes and ears of your squad.
Only squad leaders,snipers,special forces and crewmen inside vehicle can spot targets onto the mini map the
WHOLE TEAM can see.(they have a radio)
So let your SL know what you see.
You can give a map grid like "g4" and a "keypad" number to indicate where the contact is inside the square.
Example: Target is in the lower right corner of "g4" would be:
Contact "G4#3".
Most of the time as a squad member you and
everyone else can hear "enemy spotted!" when you spot ("q" key)
HOWEVER it doesn't go on the mini map and just
pisses everyone off with the chatter so don't do it.

Remember you can and should practice flying off line.
BEFORE you jump into an air asset clear it with your squad leader.
Someone else on your team may be a better choice to fly.
Don't just stand around if you have to wait at a base for a ride or the rest of your squad.
Do something like man an AA gun or repair the runway.

You said you have only 1 game-PROJECT REALITY.
PROJECT REALITY is not a stand alone application. PROJECT REALITY is a mod for "battlefield 2" so you have to have 2 games
BF2 and PR, other wise PR will not run.
Please review this guide.

Please post the path in your shortcut "target" window and your "start in" window.

Use the search "bf2.exe does not exist."
and read about the many fixes already posted here.

No I don't think you need to go that far.
Roddis fix I think was installing the 1.41 patch and installing part 2 of PR "the levels".

If your getting the bf2.exe not found, that means your pr.exe isn't in the same folder as bf2.exe.
PR.exe needs to be in the main bf2 install folder with the BF2.exe.
Basically pr.exe is a text file that tells the bf2 game to use the custom pr shaders instead of the default ones.
The path to it in Vista looks like this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2

XP looks like this:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2

You must have inadvertently picked a different folder than the default bf2 folder when you installed Project Reality 0.756 or have moved BF2.

To fix it just search for pr.exe on your hard drive.
When you find it:
Make a temp copy of it( Ctrl+C)
Next paste the copy into the main Battlefield 2 folder.(Ctrl+V)
Next check your shortcut
Are the links correct?

Example with Vista:
Target:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" start
/AFFINITY 2 +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1

Start in:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\"


XP users can lose the (x86)
Users with single cpu can lose the AFFINITY 2


That should fix it.
