Login Problems

Anyone else got a problem with logging into PR? Get to the normal login screen asking for name and password, click login and bam! Nadda, just teh rotating dogtag icon for 7 - 10 minutes then either it says connection problems or i have to hit my reset button. Every sunday this is, PB all updated, no extra anti virus kicking off and no viruses (my pc is very clean).

Rather annoying to say the least.

Try to delete Battlefield 2 folder in My Documents (make a backup first) and then retrieve your account.

Tried it - no luck.

Had this trouble last weekend aswell, then fine during the week.

Are you sure your firewall isn't blocking it ?
Have you tried creating a new account ?

Aye tried creating a new account, same problem "Can't connect or connections to server"
Firewall is fine, as i was on Friday and nothing's changed there.

Bet it works tomorrow

I have this problems too lately. Might be ABR or PB ghosting it up?

Had again all evening. This time my pc locked up (which it doesn't do) and had to hit the reset button as task manager wasn't closing BF down.

I've deleted the folder in My Documents - twice, created a new account, retrieved my account.

I don't run anti virus software, my router is allowing the game, i have no virus etc etc .

So either it's PB mucking up which won't be a first or something else

Just tried 10 times, 5 pc freezes and 5 "Server refused connection"

edit your HOSTS file (C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts). remove string about ABR from it.

also check to see if there is anything about gamespy.com in your host file if so remove it
