Default PR Crash after 2 Secs/Fixed!

Well, as the title says, PR is crashing about 2 secs after joining a server. It was playing fine yesterday, but now it crashes the moment I join a server.

PunkBuster is updated, graphics card is updated, everything is working as it should except for PR.

COMP Specs:

Windows Vista 64
nVidia 9600
2GB RAM
Core 2 Duo (2.63 GHz)

EDIT: I can create and play fine on singleplayer, going to try co-op
EDITEDIT: Alrighty, co-op doesn't work. So...only singleplayer

Follow these steps and make sure you have a cd key slot =P
Quote:
# Press Windows key + R (or alternatively go to Start > Run)
# Write the following into the opened window: regedit and hit ENTER
Browse through the keys (key is the "folder" you can see in tree to the left of the window) to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2\ergc (you can always see where you are located on the bottom of the registry editor window)

That should be were your file.

If you do not have the ergc file- then you have to go and to the cd key thing agian.

It crashed on me on any online play- and it turned out that had been the reason for me.

If you have the file- and a cd key entered- idk what could cause it=P

This happens to me as well. All posted fixes have not fixed it.

Check to make sure your still running game as 'Admin' and have Compatibility selecting WINDOWS XP(service pack 2) if your running Vista.
Some other things you can try before you uninstall/reinstall.
Backup your BF2 folder that's inside your documents folder. Once you have a backup delete the original from your documents folder.
Try starting PR from your PR shortcut
a new default folder is created
link to your online account.
If all goes well (CTD gone) all you have to do to get your custom settings back is copy your 'control' file from your backup to the new profile folder.
path:
C:\Users\your user name here\Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0002
note: you may not have a 0002 folder so use 0001
(choose the highest # folder, It is usually your currant profile folder)
