Default Running slow

Up until yesterday PR was running fine. Well except for the random times when it will cut away from the game to my desktop, not closing the game, annoying but not often enough to not be able to play the game. But now all of the sudden the maps are taking forever to load and then when I get into the map it runs so slow that I can't do anything in the game. Oh by the way I have been playing singleplayer.

Default Re: Running slow

post specs plz
(esp. what type your HDD is (SATA/IDE))

this awefully sounds like hardware failure to me (when detecting faults the system will step down to a more secure way of processing and getting data - making it appear very slow but eventually still doing the job right - instead of wrong but fast)

but first: did you change anything lateley? install new software (e.g. anti-vir, drivers)

run a defragger (Windows Defragger, Auslogic or Kessel's MyDefrag)
run "chkdsk c: /r" in command prompt/console
check your RAM: run memtest.exe

"Hello, IT! ... Yes, have you tried turning it on and off again?"
