@op to rephrase: others report that they can hear what you are hearing when you speak to them (tank firing, explosions, other ppl talking etc)
now I want to make sure this really is at bf2 viop not mumble, right? this can be due to a common thing: you are using speakers and the mic simply picks up the sound thats coming from the speakers -> use a headset instead if thats not the case try: 1. go into recoding devices, select your microphone and set it as "default device" and as "default communications device" 2. i had the same thing with my usb headset on TS - since I am not using the onboard sound I disabled it in the bios and in device manager - so windows has only one device to choose from - also i had the same problem when trying to connect the head phones' 3.5mm jack that were delivered with the usb headset to the onboard sound - i had to use the USB adapter @chubben i think your thread is not related i remember that your problem has been discussed already some where in the forums - please have a look around since i dont remember the fix for it |

update your audio driver (use drivers from manufacturer not windows proposed drivers)
reset the ingame audio settings to default do you have that problem on other applications as well? mumble, ts, ventrilo, xfire, skype, msn? |

no i dont have that problem on anything else, but ive fixed it by disabling "listen to this device" turns out battlefield 2 hates it and raises the volume of ingame noises insanely high. without it, ppl are saying that they can either barely hear it or cannot at all.
