Win 7 Windows is Searching for pr.exe

I had no problems with the previous version .87.

I Had not trouble downloading parts 1 and 2.

I downloaded 1 and 2 successfully, and then installed parts 1 and 2.

When I click on the .9 shortcut it says windows is searching for pr.exe, and after that it says the shortcut is invalid.

Also I checked Battlefield 2 Vanilla in game > Community> Custom games> and the list shows that Project reality is gone all together.

Did a re-install.

Now I Have the same common Pr.exe Stopped working after install.

After Uninstalling and re installing parts 1 and 2 I tried to run from desktop shortcut, with no luck it still gave me the pr.exe error.


SO I decided to go back and Start Battlefield 2 Vanilla>Community>Custom Games> and I ran pr .9 from there and so far it has been working..

Im not sure if this is a general fix, but It did work for me.

Edit: When it starts from Bf2 vanilla it may take a while, I was at a black screen for a minute or so.

Try running the game as administrator. had same problem checked the box and it worked
