Question Just had a bad virus, now something is wrong

I just got rid of that shitty "Vista Guardian" virus, which got on my computer somehow. I tried to get on PR tonight and here's what happened:

The initial loading took a bit longer than normal, but once I got to the menu it seemed normal. Got into a server as normal, but as soon as I spawned in I started to get what seemed like really bad lag, but wasn't connection related as my ping was around 30. In the span of a minute it got worse and worse and looked like it was going to crash since it froze up (playing the sounds on repeat and all). Then, instead of the game crashing, I get kicked from the server with a weird punkbuster message attached to it. Something about "Punkbuster heartbeat stopped". It happened again when I tested it on a training server.

Now, I don't know a whole lot about the Vista Guardian virus (it has a lot of different names, each suited to the operating system it infects), but I know that it messes with .exe files and it's generally a pain in the ass to get rid of. Anyone have an idea of what could be the problem? Should I just wait until I can install .9 and see what happens?

Check Punkbuster B is set to auto re-start.

You can do the same for PB A, but generally speaking, it's the B client that stops responding. Any time you update PB, you may need to re-do this step.

Ok, I followed the instructions but there's one small problem: Punkbuster B doesn't show up. A does, but no B.
