So, just to recap...

Every time you try to join a PR game it loads fully, then loses connection. With a message saying connection to server has been lost.
When you tried it with vBF2 it didn't lose connection and you were able to play.
You have disabled Windows firewall and are running PR as admin.

Are you running PR v0.87? If yes, I suggest reinstalling PR.

Cause as far as I know PR uses the same ports that vBF2 does.

In three years you've never been able to play PR?

Have you made any hardware changes in the last three years?

You might want to look again at your system specs on your profile. I doubt PR can run on a 'Super Nentindo Video Card'.

Check Punkbuster B is set to auto re-start.

You can do the same for PB A, but generally speaking, it's the B client that stops responding. Any time you update PB, you may need to re-do this step.
Good luck

I'm having the same issue.
I tried all the steps above but none worked.
This issue only started after I patched pr 9.0. Does any one else have any suggestion?
