Hi all,
I have found out that Track IR 5.0.300 crashes Battlefield 2/PR during startup or after a few seconds. It took a long struggle, pain, suffering and a lot of trail and errors to figure that out. The worst part: Devs at Track IR didn't confirm it. I am not sure how it is in recent update if there's any. I thought to let you know in case if you are facing the same problem, and thinking to reinstall the OS like I did By the way, I am using Server 2008RC2 x64. When I close Track IR from taskbar then game works like a charm. Windows 7 users reported the same problem, and this work around is working. |

Hello, I know this tread is a bit old , but could not find a newer one on the subject , did any body find the cause or a solution for the problem, I mean I have trackir and a joystick and it's annoying that I can't use it.
Best Regards Reinhard |

Hi,
Well, same problem here. Just got myself a TrackIR 5.0, hoping that it would be the bees knees for PR, only to find it crashing BF2.EXE after a few seconds. Poor Reinhard who went before me got ingored, but do any of the devs have any clue at all if this is fixable? There's a bunch of videos on Youtube (for example this one by Mosquill YouTube - Project Reality trackIR test) that show it working with PR, so there must be a way to get it to run I guess... Help? Anyone? Cheers... P.S.: No 'Aaah, poor sucker with his expensive hardware not working, SOD HIM' plz, I worked long and hard for that bit of kit |

Whoa, please, not all at once!
Now, is the lack of activity on this thread due to the fact that it is just too obscure a subject, or is this another one of those topics (like fastropes, body dragging, etc...) that gives the devs a major hump? SHOULD one of the exalted ones read this, could you let your lowly minions know if TrackIR support CAN be implemented in the future, and if so if there's any interest from your side to do so? Cheers in advance! |
