Win 7 Auto Deploy Freeze

The auto-deploy window goes away, and i prepare to get into the server. Only, instead of getting into the server, the game just freezes on the server list screen. This happens about half of the time I use auto-deploy, and I have to force close BF2.

Might be worth noting that the way that the (not responding) BF2 window reacts while I am alt-tabbed into task manager makes me think it is a resolution issue, as the window never really becomes inactive with the mouse; if I click anything the black BF2 window will come to the fore. I'd rather not abandon my 1680x1050 WS resolution, waited so long for it didn't we?
