Win 7 StaticMesh.fx(2) error x1507

This is the error message I get:

error "X1507"
"Failed to load effect: StaticMesh.fx
staticMesh.fx(2): error x1507: failed to open source file:
'mods/xpack/shaders/datatypes.fx' ??

-I have read the other threads. I followed some suggestions, such as copying my 'shaders_client.zip' file contents into the 'shaders' folder within mods/bf2.

-I have BF2 1.50 and PR .87 Core / Levels files installed.

-I have reinstalled... more than five times. Same problem.

I'm also about to give up on this game. I love it and had it working six months ago, but haven't been able to play it again since I reformatted my computer awhile ago. Its just one issue after another. I thought it might work now since I upgraded to Windows 7 but of course, there is yet ANOTHER problem.

I'm not playing the PR team directly for this, but someone... somewhere, needs to get their shit together!

is your problem the fact that if you have AA on the ground is transparent? or that textures seem to bleed/shimmer? if so i had that problem and all i had to do was right click the PR shortcut, properties, compatibility, check "disable visual themes & Disable desktop composition, check Run this program as an administrator.... uncheck run this program in compatibility mode.

Thanks but the game wasn't even running.

I fixed it though, so I don't need any help anymore. To be honest, I don't know how I fixed it but it could be because I did a restart.

Have you tried following the installation guide for PR ?

Have you installed vanilla BF2 and updated to version 1.5 and run it once to create a profile?
Please tell us how far along in the installtion guide you are,
Please tell us your system specs, and which OS and is the OS 32 or 64 bit.

We'll help you get PR up and running,

Incognito more details would really help others with the same problem

so if you could could you expand a little on what you did to fix the problem or was it just a restart?
