Default PB MD5 Mismatch: Firewalldll.dll

A few of us in NATO were pubbing (the entire platoon actually) and a good majority started getting kicked every 14 or so minutes for a Firewalldll.dll...

Might have been a serverside problem... but.. o.O just kinda annoying really.

Any ideas?

The server PB violation log is showing a lot of people getting this kick, not sure as to why though.

The MD5 hash on the server (pr config) is correct and I have verified through using the md5gen tool so can't see any reason as to why people are getting this kick.

been here longa than you... gotten my fair share of warnings....

So, any news as on if PB is going to fix it or if the servers can fix it?

Maybe find a way to get it to overlook that specific file? > > ?

Are there any MD5tool mismatch kicks being given out in un-ordinary numbers?

Found this on another forum, may be worth a try

BF2 Kicked for MD5 Tools Mismatch FirewallDLL.dll [FIX]

"Punkbuster kicked (2 minutes) MD5Tool Mismatch: FireWallDLL.dll (len=204"

Make sure you have BF2 shut down and ensure the processes BF2.exe, PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe are shutdown via Windows Task Manager.

1) Open folder "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2".

2) Delete folder "pb". Don't worry about backing it up, there's no point as there are corrupt dll files which pbsetup isn't checking for during manual updates.

3) Move the FireWallDLL.dll out of the bf2 root directory somewhere safe.

4) Run pbsetup and click "Check for Updates". This application will create a new pb folder in BF2 with all the updated dll, dat and htm files.

5) Done!

Same thing happened to CATA today in training, but never happened to me pubbing for the couple of days since the patch came out. Makes me think it's something to do with the server. Also VOIP didn't work, same as the first night the patch came out on a couple of servers, but they fixed it.

Found the issue on our server, it's to do with streaming PB, for whatever reason they had the file listed as a hack but they have now resolved it and new config on our server.
