I can no longer Alt+Tab in/out of game without the game black screening and needing a re-start. It has only happened since the patch this morning.

If you turn off your Anti-Aliasing it will allow you to Alt-Tab.. so its a choice, functionallity or appearance.

If you have an nVidia gpu, you can *maybe* manually set the anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering in the nVidia control panel and get it to anti-aliase the game without getting the BLSOD (black screen of death).

Here is a fix...the chance of PB kicking you for md5 mismatch is kind of iffy though, seems to depend on your connection/os/etc: http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f10-...nddx9-dll.html It seems as though vanilla BF2 servers have a lower chance of kicking you.

I am on Vista and experiencing the same problem, my mate who is on XP is also experiencing this after installing .87.
Is this VERY common or is everybody getting this? Playing without AA at all for me is barely even playable, and as much as I love PR I need to be able to tab out. Are there any substantial solutions to this problem? |

I've not ever been able to Alt-Tab out of game direct to desktop, usually when I do my mouse wont show up, but no crash. Now if I go into the game menu via ESC, than I Alt-Tab to desktop, I get no problems. So since I figured this out, I ESC, than I Alt-Tab to desktop.
