Default Configuring Headset for VOIP

I have what I hope to be a simple problem.

When using VOIP, the Voices of my squadmates come from my computer speakers. I'd like to seperate voices from the sounds of the battlfield but can't seem to find any configuration options in game. Is there anyway to set VOIP to my headset earphones and reserve all other sounds to my speakers?

Sadly I think not. Use your headphones for sound. Just turn down 'effects' to 25 to 35%. You want to be able to clearly hear your squad leader and team mates when inside vehicles, yet still hear incoming rounds.
If you want more low end,
consider getting a pair of headphone like the AudioFX Force Feedback Gaming Headset

The human ear cannot hear anything below 20-25Hz but other frequencies can be "felt" as vibrations. If you've ever watched movies on a powerful home theater system then you know that bass is often times more a "feeling" than a "hearing" sensation. The Audio FX's bass amplifier interprets frequencies below 20Hz and transforms them into vibrations that we can feel through the headphone earpiece. Advanced transducers located in the earpieces convert these low frequencies into real vibrations to be felt for the most realistic and immerse sound experience ever.

Long before you hear a tank coming you will FEEL it!

Default Re: Configuring Headset for VOIP

ingame sound and ingame voip is sent by the same application it is (afaik) not possible to get those seperated other than by filters mentioned by palerider

there however is also mumble, teamspeak or ventrilo - you can set those applications to use your headset - as output - and it should be possible to get bf2 to go on the speakers by setting them as default output
