When I try to start PR I get a ctd right after the splash screen have been loaded. But the game works in windowed mode.
It started happening after I got my new graphics card a ATI Radeon HD 4800. And I got the latest drivers so don't say that Robbi. |

Cleared the cache folder?
Try to move your profiles away from normal position. I had unedited profiles, but just being there they made the game crash after splashscreen. Sounds stupid, but worked for me in one situation. |

Are you using the downloaded version of BF2? IF yes check out:
Another fix to try when having crash to desktop issues In game textures set to 'HIGH' Set the textures to medium. I'm not sure why this makes a difference with high-end cards that can run games like Crysis on high quality settings with no problem at the same res, but for some reason it matters in Project Reality. Do you have a large enough PSU for the new card? Lastly open your case and put a fan blowing in cool air to rule out overheating issues. Good luck |
