Tried everything listed on this site and anywhere else a google link took me. Still getting the service abnormality error message and being kicked by pb. XP64, AMD Athlon X2, 9800GT, 4 GB Ram, Gigabyte mobo. I've been trying for weeks to fix this thing.

I'm getting the same thing almost, except I can play for a bit and then my screen freezes, land turns black, then goes back to normal and if I'm lucky I can play a little bit before getting kicked for "kicked because of PB heartbeat stopped".
Sometimes my screen just freezes without land going black and then getting kicked.

I've tried everything suggested and nothing is working.

do you have a firewall/anti virus software (any other service tool that thinks it needs to block punkbuster?
retry to manually update PB
