Hi i recently brought BF2 via steam and downloaded PR correctly and everthing, but when ever i run it, it always tells me to correct the path so i check the path and its was directly on the pr.exe. I am thinking that because steam is a compleate cock and i was an idiot to buy BF2 on it maybe thats screwing it up, I am running Windows Vista 64bit this is driving me insane because i have just spent over 9 hours downloading and installing PR and the latest BF2 updates..

Please please comment back soon

Exclamation Re: Windows Vista Users - Troubleshooting Guide for PR

OK, so I downloaded pr v0.87 core files and level files then i downloaded pr v0.87 singleplayer core and level files. i double clicked on the shortcut for pr and it started but then suddenly it shows the mouse for pr like its about to start then it suddenly just goes back to the desktop!!!!!! its so irritating and so then i starte normal bf2 and went to community so then i tried starting pr from there. it goes to the game but then on the screen it has a few little tv screens and it says something like (you must start pr from pr.exe not bf2.exe press alt f4 and update your shotcuts) if anybody out there can help me fix this porblem then i would worship u haha PLEASE HELP ME FIX THIS IM COMPLETELY STUMPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have vista and also bf2 v1.50 so i have no idea why pr v0.87 isnt working PLEASE HELP

If anyone is having ttroubles with the screen going black at the start, their is quite a few possible reasons. In some cases, its a graphical issue such as resloution and screen refreesh rate. I've got a laptop that runs 61Hz, but the battlefield 2 files are designed and default at 60Hz, this would be a good place to start, and just make sure your res is the same to remove any other type of graphical issue you have. I'll probably update on more when i get tthem, but to be honest, screen refresh rate has a huge effect on start ups.
