Well there is an easy way to find out if your AV program is the cause. Simply turn it off during the duration of playing the game. Also double check your router (if you are using one) and make sure the necessary ports are open for BF2. If you are using a Cable/DSL modem and you are worried about your router you could attempt to hard connect via Cat5 cable to the modem from your computer and by pass your router. Turn off SpyWare programs and all that as well.

Basically you are turning off as much processes as possible to see if it's a conflict with a current running program.

Heh, boy am I stupid. I tried doing what you said but forgot to copy the one from battlefield 2/mods/pr/shaders_client and took that and just moved it into the mods/bf2. Then I deleted it, thinking it was glitched. Now I'm re-installing PR

please do not hijack threads - make your own or even better search the forum first

pr does not mess up the profile - however - some mods fiddle with the profiles thus making them incompatible for any other mod/vbf2
you should use one account per mod

Cool Re: Punkbuster Error: MD5Tool Mismatch Troubleshooting

I have search the form, but my english is not that good. So i picked the first one i saw.

And if i have problems with my first account and not my second, i just use my second account? Alright that might no problem.

But i have asked a friend to send me HIS shader_client.zip perhaps that makes the different.

Alright, today i've changed my shaders_client into that one from a friend of my.
After that i installed PR again OVER the old version.
And now? Now it works still. No problems any more. So For the other guyes, mayby get the file from a friend (safe you old one) and instal PR OVER your old PR.

Let me know if it works...

Replacing your shaders_client.zip file with one that you know works is one of the ways to fix the issue if your shaders_client.zip file was corrupted in some way. It happens on occasion and is listed in the list of solutions somewhere in this thread. If it happens again however or on a routine basis you may want to copy the file to a different location. Perhaps save it on a flash disk or another hard drive while you know it still works. This way you can replace it whenever you need to. However if it's being it being corrupted that much you may want to defrag your hard drive or run a chkdsk on your HDD to see if it has bad sectors. If so then it may mean your HDD is on the way out and a new one may be in order.

Glad to see you have it working again.
