[Solved] Punkbuster B

I have tried everything and read all the threads about punkbuster heartbeats. For a while it worked after restarting the game a few times and just loading maps till it didn't kick me. I just did everything i could think of trying to get PR to run for like 3 hours. Loaded maps like 20 times rebooted restarted PR over and over... still get the PB kick. I am really tired of this punkbuster crap. Am I just screwed now ? If you respond to this dont bother with the whole download PB setup and svc and reinstall PR bf2 etc... done it all. I have deleted cache files from bf2 still fail. I am just really annoyed by this problem and wonder if anyone else has had issues with PB lately.

Sometimes it's just PB but there is another way to go and manually restart it. You'd have to google it because I can't remember how to do it off the top of my head and this goes in the tech support area.

Usually I just reboot the PC if I get the heartbeat thing. Only restarting the game never seems to solve the problem. Sometimes I try to update PB as well but the fact is that sometimes PB just doesn't like you and there's very little you can do about it.

Have you tried delaying the PB check by putting in "pb_sleep 500" in the console? In some cases this works for me...

Are you on the internet via a router? You could try open up the ports on the router for PB...

Join a server, open console with ~ key and type pb_sleep 500 folowed by pb_writecfg.

If you still get the kicks reinstall pbsvc and reboot after you do it.

TBH I dont remember last time I had problem with this. Possibly on fresh installs might happen...
