Jumping on friendly armor results in death

Myself and others occasionally experience a bug when jumping on friendly armor. For instance, I will be top gunning in a tank, or driving a tank, and will get out on the ground for one reason or another. Afterward, I will attempt to jump onto the tank, only to die suddenly. The tank will not be in motion, or will at most be slowly crawl. As far as I can tell, it only happens to me with the Challenger, but I may not have remembered all the instances. I will try to answer any questions to the best of my knowledge. Anyone else who has experienced this problem, feel free to chime in. I am not sure whether or not this bug has been reported previously. I searched, but to no avail.

I have no idea why you would suddenly jump out but about dying, challengers got this nasty bug that they might move even if it doesn't have driver. I have seen challengers few times just go around and around with huge speed all by themselfs.

I've seen this before on Al Basrah with the Chally. It was totally stationary and unmanned; as soon as anyone touched it (front/sides/back/top) they would die. It was simply sat there at 100% health, totally stationary.

Oh, and no, we weren't being shot :P

most likely the tank was on some slope, even when not moving it causes ppl do die.

I think the devs made the tank a bit TOO dangerous to be around. I mean when in motion u touch the side of the tank and u die.

Its the reaper himself.

Seriously, if u get run over from the front of the tank or the back, i understand offcourse, but the sides..come on.

Observe everything, admire nothing.

You can die if the CR2 cannon hits you, probably due collision.
