Crash on loading map

I know that there are many threads on this subject but none of them seem to work for me.
I am a a vista user i have tried reinstalling the game two times but it seems to crash when it is at about 20%. I have successfully connected to a server one time and it ran fine. but the rest of the times it crashes. i was wondering, is this a problem with the recent patch? Will a new patch come out soon?

Isn't 20% loading objects?

Have you tried installing Bf2 on a different PC then copying the Object.zip and replacing it with the object zip on your own pc?

I've had that too and I went with the long way, reinstalling Bf2 as didn't have a mate with the game or another pc with enough space. Cost me loads of time to reinstall it again as everything I have problems installing bf2. So im not advicing that.

Reinstall vbf2 patch 1.41 run PR/BF2 as administrator.

Hi

I have just installed PR, and it crashes just before i get to join the map. It loads the entire map, and then crashes. My computer is running on vista, and i have the latest patch for BF. what should i do?
