field dressings falling through ground

This is the first version I've played, and being a negative number, I'm aware it isn't the "full", so to say, release of this mod, but I must say that I'm not impressed by the way the Field Dressing packages realistically fall through the map, never to be seen again.

Perhaps use a 'box' of Field Dressing packets, or increase the collision detection variable to something that of a claymore, so they don't slide around or fall through the earth.

Otherwise, continue what you're doing, because I'm sure you'll get around to it eventually.

It should be #2 though.

I think this problem is actually specific to some maps.. not sure what is causing it. there should not be any way for this to happen (I even set these field dressings to use the same collision mesh as the vBF2 first aid kits).

Will take a look at it again. I agree it's annoying, but I dunno what is causing it ???

Cheers!

But it's realistic

When was the last time you were running through tall grass or a swamp area and you threw your band-aids on the ground? They disappear! I think it ads to the realism.

Just kidding, I usually end up looking around for the dressing and get plugged in the back of the head.

I could go off about this, but complaining about programming crap doesn't change anything.

Let's all be grateful that they are aware of this bug and are actively trying to fix it..

One other thing that really bothers me (in BF2 as well), is the weapon sounds.

Often, you can hear the bullets landing around you, but if the other guy is far enough away (which is usually less than 100m), you'll have no idea where the shots are coming from.

Now that the bullet landing sounds have been increased in volume, I often find myself running around in circles because all I'm hearing is POP POP PEWW FWAP UGH, and no gun shots.

P.S.

And the bug that makes your missile disappear if you die while it's still in flight.
