exploding little bird

Hello everybody...

i must tell you now a really strange bug story. Yesterday, on the 8. january, i was on the I.G.I server. The map was Qwai River, and my squad (i wasnt squadleader, because i'm a bad leader ...) was pretty nice and we just captured the old temple.

My squadleader was the pilot in a little bird, and as I saw this, I managed to get a spec-op kit (took it from a dead american, I took it not because of the m4, I really hate it, and I am very bad with this gun, but I took it because they are the only with a parachute), and the whole squad took place on the little bird, and my squad leader flew directly to the construction site. When we arrived, I jumped out (because I was spec-ops and I could attack the construction site from the other site, and derange the chineses who were defending. They shoot on the chopper and i press "E" for jump out. But... but... the chopper exploded and ... it was showed that I teamkilled them!

I was shoked, couldn't speak for some time... the whole squad was teamkilled by me... 5 people... My squadleader cried: What the [censored] [censored] did you do? Now I ask you: Did I do something wrong? I am too stupid to jump out?

PPs: I'm rarley a specops but i the beginning of pm 0.4 I was a spec ops and jumped out of the chopper. But I was teamkilled by my pilot. Now it seems like the destiny is against me. Could it be, that this "jumping out" not only damage me but the chopper too, just a little bit... And because the chinese were defending and shooting, perhaps a rpg hit the chopper and because I jumped out at the same time, I damaged the chopper just a little, but this was the last hit and I "teamkilled" my mates.

Hmmm, I've never seen that happen before. Were you also killed when the chopper blew? Or had you fell clear by that time?

i was just a second alife after the bum, perhaps I get shooted by a chinese when jumping out... didnt know, it was very fast...

and I've never seen that before.. I still fear using the parachute...

In vBF2, any aircraft flying into a parachute dies instantly. Or was that fixed?

its prolly a vbf2 issue...

sometimes if your close to avehicle and it blows up (it coulda been an RPG) you will recieve TK even though it was the enemy ...


or like Mad says, you pulled you chute too early and the cords got sucked up into the rotars

This has happened to me before. lol, i remember once that it caused me 2 TK's. One guy punished. I remember going totally apeshit against my squad in squad chat, then leaving....then returning and yelling at them again...it just pissed me off so much.... I think even Rhino was in the squad, but I know he wasn't in the chopper.

.....did you try drop any SLAM charges from the chopper?
Are you sure an enemy drop a C4 on the chopper, then that caused....something....domwhow to cause a TK by picking up the kit?

Now that would be a very plausible explanation. Of course, that would have been one fast LB pilot...

the chopper was in the air, as I took the kit. And I haven't put any soflam to the chopper, and there was no enemy, because the whole squad were waiting for the chopper.

I think this with the "you used the parachute too early" is the most obvious explanation... and strange circumstances.
