Hmm... the parachute could be a very plausible explanation. The parachute is treated as a vehicle, and therefore, if a vehicle hits another vehicle at a certain speed, the vehicle blows up. Some kind of lag may have caused you to glitch above the chopper or the chopper was doing a swan dive, and hit your parachute.
By the way, where are you from? |

I saw this happen to a guy before. It was his first round playing PR. After first plummetting to the ground with his assault kit I told him only spec-ops have a chute. The next time attacking docks he went as spec ops, jumped, somehow TKed the entire LB load and was promptly auto-kicked from the server after a "What the hell did I do now!?"
I hope he tried PR again... |

Since we're on the topic of helicopters, I've got a bug for you all....it started this past Sunday and has happened every time since. Due to my horrible experience with helicopter pilots, I now NEVER ride passenger in a helicopter of any kind. Unless I am flying I never get in one. Well the other day I was squad leader and transporting people all over the place in a AH-60. As soon as someone jumped out (from the left rear) I team killed him right away. It happened to anyone who entered the helicopter and left the helicopter in that position. Trying another server thinking it was a server bug, it happened again...and again, and again. So I think there is something up with the left rear passenger position of the AH-60 that makes the pilot auto team kill when they get out (weather they jump and open their shoot, or you land and they jump out, they die either way).

- when airdropping, or when someone is about to unload from a copter.. 1: Ensure you have only your squad in the copter if possible. 2: Have the squadleader in the chopper pilot seat. 3: When landing, -tell- them when to get out and hold the chopper still, in a hover and steady else the skids may take someones head off, or the tailrotor may do so. 4: Dont open your chute early, you will die one way or another. 5: If you see in your team [PR]RFAD|Dr_Rank and a squad of other RFAD in a chopper - let them take it.. your team will win the map |
