AMD 3800+ X2
2Gb of ram
7800GTX
runs all maps at 80 to 100 fps on full everything
can't run map haha>>? going to overclock my card for fun and see what happens
maybe I need new crzy ram from hell.

I might bye 1 more gig after christmas of crazy overclocking ram looks like my ram is 2 gigs of ddr 400. ddr2 would probally make my motherboard more happy.. I think it hates cheap ram.

I have a:

AMD FX-53
Nvidia 7600 GT [the over-clocked on from EVGA]
1 GB RAM
Asus A8N-SLI Premium

This map is completely unplayable with my current hardware. Heck once I am in the map it takes like 10~20 seconds before the Class selection will come up.

I know that my hardware is not this year current but its not that bad either. I even went with all low settings and still no go for this map.

Very sad since it does look like a nice map.

Definitely a RAM issue for you then I'd say.

I've got
P4 3.6GHz
nVidia 6800 256mb
3GB RAM (made all the difference in the world during testing the map)

Runs fine for me on an AMD 3000+ (2.2ghz) with 1250megs memory, though I'm running with all settings on low & 6x anti-aliasing.

I did notice I needed to enable my windows swapfile to play Al Basra though, whereas I've never needed to do that before (running vanilla BF2).

Memory issues aside the map seems a bit huge. Maybe it could be more interesting if the same details were placed on a map with half the ground size.

hehe, not gonna happen. When I fix the gameplay balance in the patch the whole map should be used to full potential. I will also add 32 and maybe 16 modes.

This soudns like one of those crazy problems, one of the new maps with .32 gave me crazy stuttering and Im running:-

AMD64 4000+
2Gb Corsair RAM
1900XTX
X-fi Fatality
2xWD SATAII

etc.

Everywhere else I average about 100fps except random parts of jalalalalalalabad.

Windows swap file is virtual memory coming from your processor.

Also called the page file, it is a simulated type of RAM, that while not nearly as efficient as hardware RAM, can help out if you have extra processor power to spare.

You can manually change how much cpu to dedicate to this, though usually it will automatically come on when needed.

Amazing map Duckhunt. Albarshra reminds me of some DC days. but I suffer ram problems like most of people I played with. I think it maybe the building mesh or some SF folders, but I think the lag is the main city. I will recomend you to sacrifice some buildings and some urban detail for performance issues, especially for flying planes and choppers. Players will not miss soo much detail over game play. think for the comunity and not for hardware.
Oh... and if you could bring the old skybox plaease!!! it looked way better before. thx

Well, I updated to 2GB of memory. While I have only played offline all seems to be well now and that is with me going back to medium/1280x1024.
