Default Repairing vehicle resets gunner+driver check

I don't believe this is a working as intended issue although I could see it being low priority.

When a vehicle is tracked it is common for the driver to hop out. When a repair station is dropped the check for a driver will kick in when the vehicle is no longer tracked. The driver re-entering the vehicle does not stop the death counter if the gunner stays in place (not sure if also the case on a fresh vehicle).

This may also occur when turreted but have not confirmed.

So:
Vehicle hit by LAT, is tracked but turret still works.
Gunner stays in for cover fire, driver hops out to watch for infantry.
Friendly truck drops the repair station, driver stays out.
Repairs reach the level that remove the tracked status, driver gets immediate message that they must have a driver to operate this position.
If the driver hops in the gunner still gets slayed if the gunner doesn't switch out of the gunner seat and back in once the driver is in place.
As long as the gunner hops out until there is a driver the vehicle functions as normal again.

Real problem: You must go through the warm up again if the driver happens to be out when the repairs reach the random no longer tracked point.
Obvious workaround: Keep the driver in position during repairs or until the vehicle is no longer tracked.

I can see the issue here, not having the ability to have a man on the ground leaves the vehicle vunerable to HAT and LAT from close range when imobile, ive never come across this problem myself, however i do feal that if the driver gets out at anypoint that the gunner should get the check message, no tank driver would get out of his seat in real life if the vehicle is in a combat situation, id rather have 3 inches of damaged steel then a few mm of kevlar

While I agree with you in principal, the hopping out is accepted as practice and the check is intended to keep people from one manning vehicles by driving to a location and then hopping into the gunner seat. Plus a tracked vehicle doesn't need a driver as much as infantry cover.
