A few nights ago I was in a round of Operation Barracuda on the PLA side. My squad had assembled a Firebase on the northern side of the island and one squadmate was manning an AA station when a Hydra Huey made an attack run at our location. The Huey missed and the AA returned fire... Here's where it gets buggy.
A few seconds later, the Huey landed on the carrier to re-arm and repair, while 15 of the US team lay dead on the carrier including two Transport Hueys that had been spooling up on deck. Watch the video to see how it all went down I know this is not the first time that errant AA missiles have struck targets beyond their intended victims, but I have never seem them Time Warp like this, nor have their explosions been forceful enough to kill infantry standing upwards of 10m from the impacts. |

AA missiles are very good anti-infantry.

It missed hit the chopper on the carrier and killed some inf. Only question is why the second chopper blew up and killed the inf standing around it.

[GCA]Al-Khidr When ever you make a post the thread becomes awesome NickO, but that is beside the point. [GCA]Salah ad Din NickO, I'll take a plane, fly to Sweden and personally ban you from the Internet. |

Same reason you can blast an enemy tank six times with AP rounds and not hurt it very much.

From what I see, it looks like the AA missile barely missed the target, and after whizzing past it had another heat signature ahead of it to home in on, aka Huey-splode #1.
That doesn't explain Huey-splode #2 though. I'm guessing shockwave? lol |
