Default servers still crashing?

Our clan admins (bf2cc) a pr server and it still seems to crash after the server update for v7.5, when reloading albas and op archer..., Has anyone else experienced this? It would help immensly if someone could suggest why this is happening or even how to find out what is causing the problem, if it is PR or if its the server.

Its getting exremely annoying now when weve got a full 64 player server for a round then it completely empties because of a crash. It seems to happen after the next map loads, yah know .., in the client when the Join button appears?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

hrm its happening mostly on reload of abasrah, i dont think the server has yet to have the chance of changing to Op.archer. We run 2 rounds of albas then op.archer, each time the round of albas is overwith and it reloads it crashes.

First, Archer and Albasrah are very big, and demanding maps on servers. Lots of objects, destructables, and sizable. This alone will challenge the best server hardware.

Secondly, Archer has many caches and spawn points that seem to go over the 1024 limit for destructables. I have finished a newer version of the GPO.con and have removed some of the single floor statics that use multiple pieces to single piece destructables. By doing this, I have reduced the number of destrucatble statics from 789 to 603 (a huge improvement). Nonetheless, i have to re-lightmap all the new statics which take quite sometime. Unlike, Albasrah, Archer's lightmaps are ALL done on very high settings and it will take 18-24 hours to complete them (which they are being done as we speak).

Just so you all know, it took 14+ days to light map Archer using a 3.4ghz P4 with 3g of ram.

Lastly, we need to pick one of the threads below and stick to it!!! Please.

Al Basrah is still stuffed.
It shouldnt be in rotation unless you are prepared to deal with the server crashes.

I played Al Basrah on the T&T server once, with other maps in the rotation. Bi Ming loaded fine after Al Basrah was finished.

You need a Dual or Quadcore man. It's wonders above the old Pentium's.

Count yourself lucky.
It crashes more than it runs properly.
