This map was developed by Duckhunt, but the current version has a lot of
staff added by Rhino. The original Basra was not Insurgency btw.
What I don't like is the fact that all technicals and the Jihad cars have been moved to the palace and there are NO Caches down there either.
So I would either A:get the technical's to spawn elsewhere and or add more
caches to the Palace area.

Imagine the Airport (British main) that's only connected by the destructible bridges would that be fair?

Even with the British wrench it takes ~10minutes to fix a bridge.
In case anyone wonders this map was played at the PRT 6 months ago and we crushed the Brits. However we moved all our technicals out in the first 2 minutes of the game and parked them in a "safe place".

A regular "Pub" game does not have ahigh level of coordination between
the players, British or Insurgents.

Was that when we parked them all in Brit VCP since it's not used anyway.
To bad the garage at Brit main is out of bounce, would be perrrrfect

I guess it's realistic to make it look like an island with 3 bridges to it and no other roads. There must be an ocean South and East from the map
that would explain it....
There is a minor problem there: no ocean in real life, but lots of land.
I would also guess that any British forces going to the Basrah airport from the South or East would need some sort of bridge that is not blown up.
Traffic would come from the Persian Gulf (south):all the Cargo ships and
so on.

had to log in the say i totally agree with this idea..pretty much what I was thinking, I mean ANYONE with a brain can figure out how to fix a bridge if the bridge is out, make one out of boards and steel sheets those can carry cars in Real Life, not the BIG-RED though, it will be too dam heavy for such a crappy made bridge, DEVS can make it so that it will collapse if tried, CARS and BIKES ONLY. or make it so civs can fix bridges, BUT not as perfectly as a bit engineer would, as in once its *fixed* by the CIVS, it will be at a smoking state still, to near boomage lol.

fixing cap on the wrench if you will.

Stuff..

Get it together boys, there are always brits around who will gladly give up their engie kit.

Protect the bridge, ambush the tank, bomb main asap and the insurgents are at a huge advantage early.

The issue is teamwork. you kill our bridge we will get it up again fast, the kits are assets,if you have an important kit protect it.

with a good team its always even match. I guess this is now a mute point as we can fix em in 08 but really.

Try again -civilians CAN COMPLETELY REPAIR BRIDGES ON ALBASRAH using their spanner.

It just takes a long time if there is only one of you.
