I have a question about this... well more like a suggestion. You know how all the way North east on albrashar just a little east of the that bridge there is a little path way for vehicles to cross through as a last resort if all bridges are blown? Cant we do the same for the insurgents? If we as insurgents cant fix the bridge, make a little pathway across the river so that only the jeeps could cross without taking any to too much damage. We need vhicles and they arent bomb cars. We all know how badly insurgents need transport after 20 minutes of gameplay. Whatcha think?

Ok 2 things:

why is it that taking a brits wrench that isnt any different from an insurgents wrench allows you to repairs a bridge

and why did they make is so you can throw ieds onto normal cars afterall thats what the suicide car is a car with the ieds inside it

I can't count the number of times i'v spawned as a ambusher on .6 basrah, only to see a british convoy blow that list bridge, me on my dirtbike, and no where to go with this pesky shotgun, IRL, civies can do construction, but repairing bridges no.. what if it required 2-3 civies to work on a bridge at once to repair it in 2-3ish minutes

I mean, I can't tell you how many times the APC's and Scimitars run free around in the city because our RPG men are to afraid to loose their RPG or no one wants to wait 5 minutes to IED, the only way to cut off enemy armor is to go to the british base and set up IED's with that pickup you brought to supply you ammo.

My 2 pence, let the civis repair bridges!

This bottlenecks the enemy, gives them less choice where to cross so you can pace IED's in more strategic places or figure out where they might attack from.

This is the opposite of an exploit and since every other map but this one has a land bridge Im sure its deliberate.

I just wish they got more boats and you could go all along the river



I reckon insurgents should have the chance to win this map at least half the time but this isnt the way. Theres plenty other ways to balance things out

If the palace bridges go down just grab a brit engi kit and repair them or at least thats what i do and thats what i tell my squad.
From what i have noticed at al basrah is that if the insurgent have their bridges up they win because the bomb cars can take out so many brits.

I also agree that 2-3 civies should be able to repair the bridges.

You can consider taking a brits wrench to be a method of simbolizing the difficulty in civilians obtaining the materials necessary to repair the bridge. Or you can just accept it as part of how the game is programmed that fits nicely.

With all due respect, but Thread-starter, you do not have a point.

If you want civies to be able to fix brigdes, I agree, it whoud make them more usefull, but if so, how about we give the brits something to balance that out, becuse if we allow civies to repair the damage, well, IED`s will be faar to common.

Your ranting serves no purpose apart from showing that your pissed off becuse somone playing sapper on the brit team was smart nuff to see that VID`s is baad for his team`s effort..
The Insurgents are to DEFEND, that includes the bridges..

Well, Emnyron, I'd like to point out, that IED's can still happen if the bridges are down, because IED's are the (Road Side bombs), that a Ambusher can place.

Second, Im thinking, ok, let the civies repair the bridges, but make it so the bridges cant hold up a heavy car ie. a technical, the bomb truck, or bomb cars, but let the motor cycles pass, and if any other car goes on, it will auto break, Im not sure if this is possible, but it would be awesome!

I propose a deployable asset for the insurgents to solve this problem.

A ramp.

Deploy in the road at the broken bridge, and you can Evel Kneivel away from Palace.
