Insurgents Stealing Hat kits/Sniper kits/ALL KITS!

Ive seen this happen on several occasions. On fallujah west the most.

The tanks pwning the insurgent team as usual , So an insurgent switches to U.S. and gets a hat kit, he goes off into an alley some where and switches back to Insurgent team, His kit stays on the ground for 5 minutes so he runs back to where he switched teams, and gets the hat kit and pwns the tank.

5 minute grounded kits means it can be exploited to the max.


What are your thoughts on this tactic?

Is it fair ?

Will you try it ?

Will servers adjust rules so its ban on sight if this happens ?

I certainly hope players wouldn't stoop so low as to exploit the game to gain a competitive advantage. It is just a game after all.

Unfortunately, the internet does bring out the worst in people and I wouldn't be surprised if people actually followed through with it.

I would consider switching teams with the soul intention of stealing limited kits a kickable offense.

Well I can assure you, we catch wind of that in our servers and the offender will be dealt with. See it happening let an admin know, thats cheating just as much as ghosting. Its the same as going out with a kit and giving to the Insurgents/Taliban.

I havent seen this happen, but I hope Admins step in, also Autobalance means you cant always switch at will. I certainly like it being revived now means I am likely to keep my kit.

Also wth is ghosting ?

ghosting is when you tell or get told things about the enemy team from a guy on their side.

So clans usually get accused of ghosting when some of the clan is on a different side than the other.

Typical ghosting is usually "cache is in b3-4, in the T-building" or something like that.

I have mixed feelings about the 5 minutes. As an insurgent on Archer, I got a rifleman kit off a dead Canadian. A little while later I got killed (village on the west side), but it wasn't far from a spawn point, so I could go back to where I died, kick my carcass, and get the Canadian kit back. This happened about 3 times (I tend to die a lot on insurgency!). It feels a little dirty, thinking back on it now. On the other hand, it's pretty common to tell squadmates to pick up important/limited kits if you go down. (I could have let others in my squad know there was a kit to be picked up, but pretty much everyone had obtained a Canadian kit by that time.)

So if re-spawning to find/reclaim a kit is sketchy to me, I'm certainly for banning anyone doing what the OP said.

If this applies for autobalance it would make me cry- nothing sucks worse to begin with than getting swapped.

Yeah thats absolute bullcrap and low, and should be a banable offense. I don't say just kick because they can just come back and do it, to me its one of the worst things you can do in PR because thats just downright exploitation and cheating. Should be no warn because you know thats absolutely wrong, I mean any player new or old has the simple knowledge not to do such crap.

Yeah I agree with you man, this would put the stops to it and I think should be considered as a tweak for the next release.
