To efficiently use mumble:

Turn down Master Volume to about 15%
Turn up computer volume (headset)

win.

I'm not gonna say wich server but yesterday I joined the mumble channel of a PR server and both team were on the same channel talking with eachother... Seriously ? Big fail if you ask me. Use proper channels and I will consider using it. Until then vanilla VOIP will prevail.

Most likely, your positional audio was not on. When it is not on, you can hear everyone on both teams talking. This of course depends on whether the server has two separate channels for each team, or just one channel.

You have to realize that Mumble and VOIP are two different things. Mumble is mostly used for communication with players not in your squad or when you don't wanna clutter the main VOIP radio, etc. Whereas VOIP is only for people in your squad and the commander/SL.

In my recent experience, the overlay works with PB now, someone go confirm that for me. But it's huge! I bet you could turn that down somewhere in the settings.

One thing I don't like about the PR Mumble: There's no G15 program for it like there is the regular Mumble.

i just played a round on the TG server and i used mumble for the first time and it is AWSOME! there is absolutely NO reason not to use mumble. at the very least mumble only improves PR.

after playing with mumble, i believe mumble should be REQUIRED, not optional.

Good advice Brum - its very hard to hear in trucks/helis etc unless you turn BF2 effects right down.

Yeah there need to be more Reality Teamwork-esque servers. The EU server is full all the time!

Yes installation and setup could be easier, and finding your way around the channels can be a pain at first, but it will take you maybe 10 mins maximum to work it out :
