THat is quite something, But i doubt the UK governement will pay for all Combat 95 clothing to have liquid armour built in, probaly triple the cost of clothing the whole army WHEN in the paper today i read they cant even afford a fence (closing barracks) or deploy some of there there equiptement (MLRS's).

right now it seems itīs only a project of the us army, no actual participation of the uk
also i wonder if that stuff stiffens up by the recoil of your own gun, or a fast movement? could be quite annoying not to be able to move your arm or move your lag during a firefight |

We've already started getting some new armour I read over on the ARRSE forums. It's called Osprey armour or something, and it's being issued to all frontline troops now and is well under way. It's a lot more effective than the armour, some guys approved of its effectiveness after witnessing people taking hits with it, one guy said "There was a lot of complaints when we first got Kestral body armour but it soon broke in and was fine. I found it the same with Osprey, after a while it becomes more workable and the body adjusts. Very recently a young female medic took 3 rounds in the back while treating a casualty, that was the test of all tests for me. Give it time mate, it will work and there are many ways to carry ammo". The new armour's received a fair bit of criticism due to its ergonomics, but on the whole its being well received after some breaking in is done.

My god, this is great stuff. This just paves the way for better weapons though. Anytime your increase your ability to resist the enemies' method of attack, your enemy will find a way to counteract it. Eventually projectile weapons will be obsolete. Back to swords and spears i guess.

Just as bad as kevlar. And the title of the thread is misleading, it isn't liquid body armour, they've just created a liquid that can strengthen kevlar and fabrics when pressure is applied...
