Default "Modified" Insurgent Sniper Rifle

Technically this falls under Military Hardware. Does anyone know what type of gun this thing can be based off of? I know it doesn't show the whole gun but it looks like it has a Dragunov scope with a K-98k butt stock and needless to say a weird barrel. Feel free to throw in other pictures of Insurgent made weapons, but I'm just curious as to what this is.

Why have I been summoned to this place?

To cast my gaze upon this mere trifle?

Very well...

According to Guns & Ammo its exactly what it appears to be - an old Mauser 98 with improvised suppressor and PSO-1 scope (which is pretty much what we decided it was last time it showed up).

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

Judging by the look on the soldier's face it's WTF

Does anyone know if it actually worked?

Thank you Gun Guru Bob, your wisdom has unveiled itself yet again, here's the fresh egg that Dunehunter suggested.

"Improvised" suppressor is right. Never seen one made out of cardboard loo-roll tubes and sticky-back plastic before.
