I wonder what Uk police will use to 20 years time. They will need a replacement for the MP5. I think that replacement will not be developed for atleast a decade.
The question is what will it be like, bullput?, 9mm?, caseless (come on)??

So what do people think a weapon with a similar purpose to the present MP5 will be designed like?????

I think a bullpup, with 50 round magazine of caseless ( i know there are many problems but with time they can be resolved) ammunition. BUt calibre i am not sure. Something with a similar stopping power to a 9mm but with the penetration and high velocity of a 4.6mm round (like MP7). Does any one know much about this or have any ideas. Coudl a higher velocity 9mm round be made but not have to much recoil or some thing between a 5 - 8mm mabey.

G36 is replacing the MP5 within the police. Go to any airport and you will see police walking around with them.

I believe that the British police are (at least partially) replacing the MP5 sereis with the G36 and MP7.

BUt what of the future future. A new round ext. ext. Ex military people and such, wont police wnat a roudn that can both "stop" people and peice armour and is there a present one that does both well? if not, what design and size.
