its quite funny how it has even more armour than the tank version when this thing isn't designed to go head to head with a tank and the tank version is

in the idea yes but only on full scale war , in war against terror apc is in greater danger then tank which firing from outside the city

Its designed to be more armored because APCs have greater probability to be the victims of a RPG/IED ambush then tanks that typically sit in the outskirts of the city and provide over watch.
It makes more sense considering the wars and future wars that the IDF will be in, APCs have always been in far greater danger then tanks because they will take the infantry[btw they are operated by infantry, usually each squad has its own apc driver] to the doorsteps of the suspect's house and if there are threats like IED or RPG the people inside need protection instead of being inside a coffin[APC disaster in 2004 in which 2 M113 were destroyed by IEDs and 13 soldiers died] to survive and still continue the operation.

Namers are going to have Iron Fist or Trophy system APS that shot down incoming projectiles..really cool stuff...Trophy is already operational on MK4s
A new production line in the USA has been setup to increase the rate of Namer production instead of relying on the production line in Israel thats busy making Merkavas.

Got to say it'd have to be the M2A3/M3A3 Bradley at the moment. 25mm cannon, two TOW-missiles, FCS, IR, ERA, TACNAV, better thermal imaging, CIV, DVO and an MRE heater.

Also the FCS means the newer Bradleys can use its TOW missiles on the move using a system similar to the CR2. The gunner can acquire and engage targets with his sights while the commander scans and selects new targets with his CIV.

Having said that, the Warrior with its new turret, engine, cannon and armour might just be a healthy competitor

Some pictures:

The Warrior WRAP 2 as it is 'now'

The Warrior with a new BaE turret (if it wins):

The Warrior with a new LM turret (if it wins):

Edit: By the way, from what I know an IFV is a vehicle used to transport troops to the fight and stay there to give support from its weapons systems. An APC is to take troops to the battle but then to withdraw or hold at a safer location. The MGs/GMGs on it are for self-defence purposes usually.

Playing PR since 0.1..
