Beer Holder, Chair Massager, Mini Fridge, and a potty which is activated by button, no reason to ever leave the tank

my bud whos in the us army said that they are abandoning the abrams and MBT all together. he said that they were implementing nothing but strykers since they are so versatile and have different variants.

Im not sure what to believe now. there are just so many contradicting stories out there

I'm pretty sure that the U.S. Army won't be abandoning the MBT in the near future in favor of APC's... He might be talking about Stryker brigades, which don't have MBT's included iirc.

Surely something with lasers, that's all like....... pew pew pew FZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT Kablam!

Oh and it's also invisible, I know a guy in the pentagon. Here's my source

But in all seriousness, I don't think the Abrams is going anywhere. Why should it? It's one of the best MBT's in the world and will be for some time

According to Wikipedia the U.S. military still has some 6000 M1-type tanks in it's inventory, even though I don't know how many of those are actually used.

However, it would make sense for the military to reduce the amount of MBTs in favor of IFVs, considering that most of the fighting the U.S. is involved in is asymetrical in nature, where an MBT has not many appliances.
